The Greensburg Learning Center, a project within ARI's 'Rural School Reimagined' bundle and a former elementary school, currently serves as a post-secondary training hub for high school students, displaced workers, and adults. However, the building has been over 60% empty since 2021. To address the urgent need for quality early childhood care in Greensburg and address the vacancy, five classrooms will be repurposed into a childcare center through a partnership with All 4 Kids LLC and Greensburg Community School Corporation. READI 2.0 funds will support demolition, exterior & interior renovations, security, and outdoor areas while LEI funds will support interior renovations. The project began in July 2025 will conclude by June 2026. The center will provide 187 childcare seats, competitive employee benefits, Paths to Quality Level 3 certification, and NAEYC accreditation. Additionally, Greensburg Schools’ Early Childhood Education (ECE) Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway will relocate to the Learning Center, preparing students for childcare careers. This project is expected to create 40 jobs with an average wage of $14.50 per hour. All matching funds (from Greensburg Schools & All 4 Kids LLC) were secured June 2025. The financing date is expected to be 12/31/2025. You can learn more about All 4 Kids here: https://all4kids.webador.com/
